Why large Asian weddings in Leicester come to Maher Centre.

An Asian wedding is rarely small. Guest lists of 500, 700 or 1,000 are normal, and the family wants everyone in one room, seeing the stage and eating together. Many venues that call themselves large still split guests into overflow rooms or tuck tables behind pillars.

Maher Centre was built for exactly this. The main hall is a single-storey, pillarless 1,100m² space. Up to 1,000 guests sit at banquet tables, all facing the stage. And with a 350+ space free private car park outside, there is somewhere to put the cars as well.

What is the largest Asian wedding Maher Centre can host?
Up to 1,000 guests seated banquet-style, around 800 with a dance floor, and up to 1,500 theatre-style or standing, all in one pillarless 1,100m² hall. It is one of the largest wedding venues in the Midlands.
Can we bring our own caterer and decorator?
Yes. Maher Centre does not do catering, so you either bring your own caterer, decorator and DJ, or choose from our partner network of teams who know the venue inside out. Third-party suppliers are welcomed through our Partner Programme.
Is there any food that cannot be served?
Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre. Otherwise your caterer plans the menu with you, whether that is halal, pure vegetarian, Jain or a mixed menu.
How much parking is there for a large Asian wedding?
Maher Centre has a 350+ space free, privately owned, floodlit car park on site, with three car park and WC attendants on duty during your event. Guests are not hunting for street parking or risking fines.
Can we book several functions across a wedding week?
Yes. Families often book a mehndi, sangeet or jago, the wedding day and a reception or walima across the wedding week. Each event has its own 12-hour booking and we quote them together.
What is included when we book the hall?
The hall for a full 12 hours including set-up and pack-down, an event manager and caretaker, three car park and WC attendants, two private en-suite dressing rooms, air conditioning, ambient LED lighting, a full PA system, use of the industrial kitchen, and the full venue clean-up.
