Maher Centre is operated by Maher Community Association (Leicester) UK, registered charity 1039128, 15 Ravensbridge Drive, Leicester LE4 0BZ ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
When you send an enquiry through our website, by phone, WhatsApp or email, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, event type, date, guest numbers, budget, how you heard about us and any notes you add. We also record which page you enquired from and, if you arrived from an advert, the campaign reference, so we know which adverts work.
If you book with us, we also keep the contract, payment and event-planning details needed to deliver your event.
We do not sell your information. We will only send you marketing if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.
We use trusted service providers to run our website, receive form submissions, send email and measure website performance (for example our web host, our form provider and Google Analytics / Google Ads). They process data on our instructions. With your agreement, we may pass your details to partner suppliers you ask us to connect you with, such as caterers or decorators.
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Booking records are kept for up to 6 years after your event to meet accounting requirements.
We use essential cookies so the website and quote form work. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google Ads measurement to see which adverts lead to enquiries. These are off until you choose to allow them, and we do not use cookies for advertising that follows you around the web. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent.
