Maher Centre is a wedding reception venue in Leicester for Christian couples who marry at church or the register office and want one big room to celebrate in: up to 1,000 seated for the wedding breakfast or 800 with a dance floor. For most Christian weddings, the marriage itself happens in church, whether that is your parish church, a Catholic church, a Pentecostal or evangelical congregation, an Orthodox church or a register office service. Maher Centre is where the celebration happens next.
To be clear about what we do and don’t do: we are a reception venue. We don’t host the legal marriage ceremony. What we offer is everything after the vows:

Caterer, florist, décor team and DJ arrive about two hours before guests and dress the hall.
Guests arrive from church, park on site and enjoy drinks while you finish your photographs.
You are announced into the room, and your minister or a family member says grace.
Your caterer serves the meal: plated, family-style or buffet.
Father of the bride, best man, the couple. The PA and optional LED screens carry it to every table.
Cut the cake, then the first dance on the floor, or on an optional LED dance floor.

Maher Centre does not do catering. You choose a caterer from our partner network, teams who know the venue inside out, or bring your own through our Partner Programme. They get an industrial kitchen with four burners, a free gas supply and refrigeration.
One thing to know before you plan the menu: beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre. Chicken, lamb, fish and vegetarian menus all work beautifully, just leave the roast beef and hog roast off the list.
Choose one of three optional tiers: Essential (corkage and bar facilities), Classic (adds two bar staff) or Signature (adds glassware). Yes, we can supply the drinks, or we can refer you to a specialist bar company.
Banqueting packages (Essential, Classic with chair covers, or Signature with Chiavari chairs) cover tables, chairs, linen and tableware. Our price-match promise covers all packages and optional extras.
