Maher Centre is a single-storey, 1,100m² hall with no pillars, step-free access throughout, air conditioning and a free private car park right outside. It suits large weddings where you want every guest in one room with a clear view of the stage.
We are in Leicester, in the Midlands, 5 to 10 minutes from M1 Junction 21. That makes the venue a practical meeting point for guests travelling from different parts of the UK.
Our role is simple. We provide the space, the staging, the kitchen and an experienced team on the day, including an event manager and caretaker. You, your family and your priest decide how the ceremony runs, and we set up the hall around it.

Customs vary between communities and regions of Karnataka, and between families, so we do not assume a running order. Below are some elements many families include, and how the venue supports them if yours does.
If your family holds naandi or other prayers before the main ceremony, they can take place on the stage or in a quieter part of the hall before guests arrive.
If kashi yatre is part of your day, the long central aisle and open floor give the groom's party room to move through the hall.
With no pillars in the hall, guests at the back have the same clear view of the stage as those at the front.
The full PA system lets the whole hall hear the priest, and optional LED side screens or a large LED screen can show a close-up view of the stage.
Staging is included with hire, giving your decorator a solid base for a mantapa with room for the couple, the priest and close family.
Two private en-suite dressing rooms are available, and the hall can be reset for the reception with ambient LED lighting, the PA system and a dance floor.
Every booking covers a full 12 hours, including supplier set-up and pack-down, so nothing ever feels rushed. This is one example; your own timings lead.
Holding the ceremony and reception on separate days? We can quote each as its own booking. Our wedding packages page explains the banqueting and bar options.
Up to 1,500 theatre-style, in rows facing the stage.
Up to 1,000 seated banquet-style. Long rows work well for banana leaf service; round tables suit a buffet.
Around 800 with a dance floor, with ambient LED lighting and a full PA system for your DJ or band.
See every layout on our capacity page. Step-free access and accessible toilets make it easier for older relatives and guests with limited mobility to get around.
Yes. Staging is included with hire, giving your decorator a raised, sturdy base at the head of the hall. The design is entirely up to you and your decorator, whether traditional or contemporary.
Optional upgrades include tiered front steps, a crystal chandelier, LED side screens and a 7m-wide LED screen. Our event manager can help you plan the layout. For more on stage options, see our mandap venue guide.

Maher Centre does not do catering, so the menu and the style of service are your family's choice: a seated banana leaf meal, a buffet, or both.
Your caterer works from our industrial kitchen, with four burners, a free gas supply and refrigeration. If you are still looking, we can recommend a team from our partner network once we have met you, and third-party caterers are welcome through our Partner Programme. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre.
Corkage and bar hire are optional. Alcohol-free events are completely normal here.
Our privately owned, floodlit car park is free for guests, with car park attendants on duty. Save a fortune on parking fines.
We are 5 to 10 minutes from M1 Junction 21, with easy reach from Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry and Northampton. Directions are on our getting here page.
