Why choose an out-of-centre venue for a corporate event?

City-centre venues often look good on paper until you factor in delegate parking, multi-storey charges and late arrivals stuck in traffic. Maher Centre sits on Ravensbridge Drive in north Leicester with its own floodlit car park of more than 350 spaces. Delegates park for free, a short walk from the door, and get home without hunting for a ticket machine. Save a fortune on parking fines. Free guest Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected inside.

The hall itself is one open, single-storey space of 1,100m² with no pillars. That matters more than people expect: every delegate can see the stage, every exhibitor gets a fair spot, and every dinner guest can see the awards being handed out.

The practical bits

What do organisers need to know before booking?

Catering by partners or your own team

We don’t cater in-house. Use a caterer from our partner network or bring your own via the Partner Programme. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre.

AV that scales

Full PA and LED lighting in the hall. Add LED side screens or a 7m-wide LED screen, or bring your own production company.

Twelve hours, no rush

Set-up, the event and pack-down all fit in one booking. Typically about two hours each side, leaving up to eight hours for the event itself.

Furniture packages

Optional Essential, Classic and Signature banqueting packages cover chairs, round tables, linen and tableware. Bespoke options on request.

Bar if you want one

Optional corkage and bar hire, with bar staff and glassware on the higher tiers. Alcohol-free events are just as welcome.

How many delegates can Maher Centre hold for a corporate event?

Up to 1,500 theatre-style or standing, 1,200 for a sporting dinner layout, 1,000 seated banquet and 800 for a reception with a dance floor. Everything happens in one 1,100m² pillarless, single-storey hall, so nobody is sat behind a pillar.

Is there parking for delegates?

Yes. Maher Centre has a privately owned, floodlit car park with more than 350 spaces, free for your guests. Delegates drive in, park a short walk from the door and avoid city-centre parking charges and fines.

How far is the venue from the M1?

Maher Centre is at 15 Ravensbridge Drive, Leicester LE4 0BZ, about 5 to 10 minutes from M1 Junction 21. That puts it within easy reach of Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry and Northampton.

Do you provide catering for corporate events?

Maher Centre does not cater in-house. You can use a caterer from our partner network, who already know the venue, or bring your own caterer through our Partner Programme. Caterers get an industrial kitchen with four burners, a free gas supply and refrigeration. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre.

What AV is available?

The hall has a full PA system and ambient LED lighting. Optional upgrades include LED side screens and a large LED screen around 7 metres wide. External AV and production companies are welcome to work alongside our team.

How long is a booking?

A booking covers a full 12 hours, including your suppliers’ set-up and pack-down. That usually leaves up to around eight hours of event time, so nothing ever feels rushed.
