Maher Centre is a wedding reception venue in Leicester for couples of every culture and faith: up to 1,000 seated, 800 with a dance floor or 1,500 standing in one pillarless hall. Day or evening receptions, your own caterer and suppliers, optional bar, a full 12-hour booking and a 350+ space free private car park: five to ten minutes from M1 Junction 21.
The ceremony is the heart of the day; the reception is where everyone gets to celebrate it. Since 1996 Maher Centre has hosted receptions for Leicester families of every background, and the formula is simple: a big, flexible room, a team that knows what it is doing, and freedom to make the day yours.
The same hall handles very different receptions. These are the most common formats.
Round tables, a stage or top table, a served meal and speeches. Up to 1,000 seated.
Dinner, then a big dance floor with a DJ or band. Up to 800 seated with room to dance.
Start late afternoon or evening and party into the night. Perfect when the ceremony runs into the day.
Food stations, music and a lot of movement. Up to 1,500 standing.
Mehndi or sangeet one day, reception the next: each day its own 12-hour booking.

Every upgrade is optional, and our price-match promise covers all packages and optional extras.
Staging is included with hire, and confetti, fireworks and pyrotechnics are allowed, subject to written approval: we love a showstopping moment.
Catering: Maher Centre does not do catering. Choose a caterer from our partner network or bring your own. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre: vegetarian, chicken, lamb and fish menus all work well.
Banqueting packages (optional): Essential (red banquet chairs, round tables, linen, cutlery, crockery, linen napkins and serving ware), Classic (banquet chairs with chair covers) or Signature (Chiavari chairs). Bespoke packages on request.
Corkage and bar hire (optional): Essential (corkage and bar facilities), Classic (adds two bar staff) or Signature (adds glassware). We can supply the drinks or refer you to a specialist bar company, or skip the bar entirely.
