Maher Centre is a sangeet venue in Leicester for families who want room to perform, dance and celebrate before the wedding: up to 800 guests seated with a dance floor in one pillarless hall, a full PA, ambient LED lighting, optional LED dance floor and screens, and a full 12-hour booking. Bring your own caterer, DJ and dhol, with 350+ free parking spaces five to ten minutes from M1 Junction 21.
A sangeet is the music night before the wedding: siblings, cousins and friends perform practised dances, the couple’s families face off in good-natured song and dance battles, and the evening ends with everyone on the floor. It is part concert, part party, and it needs a venue that works like both.

Book LED screens early and give the AV team your videos in advance.
Maher Centre does not do catering. Pick a caterer from our partner network or bring your own: chaat counters, pani puri stalls, live tandoor and dessert tables all suit a sangeet. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre. Your caterer gets an industrial kitchen with four burners, a free gas supply and refrigeration.
Corkage and bar hire are optional, in three tiers, or keep it alcohol-free with a mocktail or chai station.
Upgrades include an LED dance floor, cold sparklers, a crystal chandelier, tiered front steps, LED side screens and a 7m-wide LED screen. Banqueting packages run from Essential to Signature. Our price-match promise covers all packages and optional extras.
