Maher Centre offers 1,100m² of pillarless, single-storey event space in Leicester for community and cultural events, melas, religious gatherings, graduations, fashion shows, product launches and exhibitions. Up to 1,500 people theatre-style or standing, a 12-hour booking and a 350+ space private car park, five to ten minutes from M1 Junction 21.
Organising an event for the public or your community is different from throwing a party. You need to think about how people arrive, where queues form, how stalls or seating fit, whether the back row can see, and what happens when 1,000 people all leave at once.
Our hall is built for that kind of event. It's one open 1,100m² space with no pillars, so you can lay it out as a theatre, a marketplace, a catwalk or an exhibition floor without working around obstacles. It's all on one level, which makes load-in simple for exhibitors and easy for visitors of every age. And because the 350+ space car park is ours, your visitors aren't fighting for street parking or collecting fines.
Maher Centre has been run since 1996 by Maher Community Association (Leicester) UK, registered charity 1039128, so community events are close to our hearts.

Maher Centre does not do in-house catering. For a mela or fair you might invite several food vendors; for a graduation, one caterer serving a buffet. Choose from our partner network or bring your own through our Partner Programme. Beef and pork are not served on the grounds of the Maher Centre, which makes it straightforward to welcome halal and vegetarian visitors alike.
For public events, you look after ticketing, stallholder bookings and any stewarding or security your event needs. We look after the building. Before the day, your event manager will go through the plan with you so everyone knows where queues form, where stalls go and how the room is cleared at the end.
Optional upgrades include a large 7m-wide LED screen, LED side screens, an LED dance floor, cold sparklers and tiered front steps. Want a big moment such as confetti or pyrotechnics? Both are welcome, subject to written approval. Everything is quoted individually and covered by our price-match promise.
