Maher Centre is a pillarless 1,100m² hall in Leicester built for mandap ceremonies of every style, from traditional red-and-gold to modern floral and fibre-optic designs. Seat up to 1,000 guests banquet-style or 1,500 theatre-style facing the mandap, with a full 12-hour booking so your decorator never has to rush.
A mandap is the heart of a Hindu, Gujarati or Jain wedding, and the right venue has to give it room. Three things matter most: clear sightlines, time to build, and space for the ceremony and the celebration to share one room.
Sightlines. The main hall is single-storey and pillarless. When the mandap sits at the head of the room, every table looks straight at it. Leaving no guest sat behind a pillar.
Time. Bookings cover a full 12 hours, including supplier set-up and pack-down. Decorators usually spend around two hours building and dressing the mandap before guests arrive, and the same again clearing at the end.
Space. At 1,100m², the hall fits the mandap, banquet rounds, a dance floor and the DJ without anyone feeling squeezed. That means the ceremony can flow straight into the meal and reception without moving rooms.

Your decorator designs the mandap. These are the venue features and optional upgrades that frame it.
The hall’s LED lighting can wash the room in a colour that complements your mandap, from coral and blush to deep purple.
An optional crystal chandelier gives a traditional mandap a grand, classic finish. Our gallery shows how it lifts the aisle.
Optional tiered steps up to the stage create a stately approach for the bride’s entrance and beautiful photographs.
Relay the pheras to guests at the back, or play a montage during the meal. A large 7m-wide LED screen is available.
Mark the couple’s first steps as husband and wife with cold sparklers. Just clear any showstopping moment with us first.
Microphones for the pandit carry every mantra to the back row, so guests can follow the ceremony.
Third-party decorators are welcome through our Partner Programme. If you have not chosen a decorator yet, our team can recommend partners who know the hall inside out, after meeting you in person to understand your vision.
Venue tours are by appointment and take about 30 minutes. Bring your decorator along to measure up.
